Seton Hall University College of Education and Human Services

Seton Hall University College of Education and Human Services is a post-secondary degree-granting institution concentrating in education within Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. It educates both undergraduate and graduate students.
==Executive Ed.D.==
The College of Education and Human Services offers an accelerated cohort doctoral (Ed.D.) degree exclusively for practicing K-12 school administrators through its Department of Education Leadership, Management and Policy.
The 54-credit accelerated program spans 27 months, inclusive of 10 weekends (Friday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday) and two 16-day summer sessions during the month of July. A Qualifying Examination is administered after the first summer session. The Comprehensive Assessment follows the second summer session. A dissertation is also required. A mentor is assigned at the onset of the program to provide support throughout the process of writing the dissertation.
;Executive Ed.D. program design
The program is conducted on the Seton Hall University campus. The Executive Ed.D. Program director, chair, and staff have managed to design a program that suits working administrators. Program staff recognizes and respects the limited time that working administrators have. They have made paying for everything a convenience. Financial aid is arranged through the program. Cohort members find no hidden fees: books, parking, lab access, technology, and meals are all included in the cost of the program-$60,000.
Candidates for each year's program are carefully screened before being accepted into a cohort. The cohort progresses through the program together. This cohort model provides collaboration and a collegial study environment that provides ample time for professional sharing. Cohort members come from throughout the United States and several countries.
The courses within the program are structured into educational modules () "organized to provide a balance of rigor and relaxation, study and collegiality. Lectures blend with picnics and receptions, labs and presentations allowing for bonding, networking and unwinding."〔Seton Hall University Executive Ed.D. Program, brochure〕
;Executive Ed.D. program jighlights
Cohort members have, not only the benefit of full-time staff, but accomplished educational authorities who provide practical perspectives to the theoretical basis that provides the foundation of each course. Some of the renowned guest scholars include, but are not limited to: Alan November, Thomas Sergiovanni, Dennis Sparks, Charles M. Achilles, and Steve Adubato.
Cohort members often find themselves in the enviable position of having the opportunity for career advancement. Enrollment, and subsequent graduation from Seton Hall University Executive Ed.D. Program accelerate the pace for career advancement. A Career Advancement Service (CAS) is available to Executive Ed.D. graduates, providing current files on each graduate and information regarding positions that are currently available.
